JoJanie Segura Moreno, a proud South Texas native, is thrilled to return to her roots and celebrate her deep love for the Latinx community. With a profound passion for the arts, she is dedicated to highlighting and sharing the vibrant stories of her Latina heritage.
As a theatre arts educator, director, and film producer, JoJanie founded Sirena Productions in 2010, initially focusing on film and media. In 2024, she was excited to expand her creative horizons into theatrical performance marking a new chapter in her artistic journey.
JoJanie plans to produce culturally relevant shows for statewide tours while continuing to develop film and media projects that celebrate and explore the Latinx experience.
JOJANIE SEGURA MORENO
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR & EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
Deborah Ramirez is a professional actress, educator and acting coach. She has an Associates of Fine Arts in Drama from Del Mar College and a Bachelors of Arts in Communication Arts from Texas A&M Corpus Christi. She has worked professionally in print and film, becoming a member of the Screen Actors Guild in 2011, and has been in numerous theatre productions all around the Coastal Bend, winning 3 Sammy Awards at the Harbor Playhouse. Her last project was playing Dona Carmen in Sirena Productions theatrical production of Real Women Have Curves. Mrs. Ramirez taught Theatre Arts in the public school sector for 14 years at both the middle and high school levels. She has coached students to the State and National Levels of Speech and Theatre Competitions and has judged all levels of competition as well. She is excited to be the Assistant Artistic Director of Sirena Productions and looks forward to serving the theatrical community.

ELYDA VASQUEZ

Elyda Vasquez is a childcare professional and professional actor! She is currently pursuing an associates degree in Drama and a minor in Radio & Television at Del Mar College. She is also involved in the Del Mar Vocal Vikings Team achieving high rankings in Speech and Debate tournaments at the collegiate level, such as Champion in Prepared Acting in the Professional Speech and Debate Association's Spring Classic! Elyda has had the opportunity to work with children of all ages and walks of life! As a teenager, Elyda was given a camp counselor role at the Aurora Theatre Children's Theatre Summer Camp where she helped children ages 5-18 learn the basics and magic of theatre and put on an amazing show of their own. Elyda also worked with Richard King High School's Drama Department to coach highschool kids aged 14-19 to compete in Speech and Debate tournaments. She also co-directed several shows with the KHS Drama Department including their fall show in 2019 and their One-Act play.
Elena Gomez grew up in Alice, TX, and obtained a BA in Theatre and English Literature from Texas A & I University (now TAMUK.) She spent 26 years in Educational Theatre in and around Corpus Christi. She nurtured many young people and helped them find their voices. She has proudly watched numerous former students go on to do work in community theatre, professional theatre, film & television, and become Theatre educators themselves. She has appeared on stage at the Port Aransas Community Theatre & at The Aurora Arts Theatre. Currently her most exciting role is that of “Nena” to granddaughters Elianna & Lenora. She is excited to be joining Sirena Productions and looks forward to working with this wonderful Latina team!

ELENA GOMEZ

Aileen Corpos is delighted to be a Resident Member of Sirena Productions. Her favorite roles include “Doris” in SAME TIME NEXT YEAR, “Leann” in A PIECE OF MY HEART, “Juana” in ROOSTERS, all of which she was nominated for Best Actress. She also played “Miss Hannigan” in ANNIE, where she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress. Ms. Corpos is represented by The Blanco Agency. Most recently she was featured in Rent Free, a film that premiered at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival, as well as at the Cannes Film Festival Marketplace. Ms. Corpos has also been in several films, including All She Can, which premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. She was nominated for Best Actress at the 2018, 2019, and 2025 CC7D Film and Mobile Film Festival, and for Best Supporting Actress for 2024. Aileen is the Recipient of the AAFCC 2019 Big Wigs Award for Best Commercial Talent. Ms. Corpos also enjoys performing and recording audio dramas with the Narada Radio Company. She has taught both middle and high school Theatre for 30 years. Ms. Corpos has also been a judge for the UIL Film Contest for 10 years.
